LPC has introduced Moody’s and S&P Senior Debt ratings for Issuers in Dealscan, both on the Current and At Close levels, as an efficient way to search across different senior ratings from each Rating Agency.

We label an Issuer's Senior Debt rating by taking the closest rating to the Deal's original closing date as the At Close rating and the most recent rating as the Current rating per the following rating types and hierarchy:

S&P Sr. Debt Ratings

1. S&P Senior Unsecured

2. S&P Senior Secured

3. S&P Long-Term Issuer Rating

Moody’s Sr. Debt Ratings

1. Moody’s Senior Unsecured

2. Moody’s Senior Secured

3. Moody’s Long-Term Issuer Rating

4. Moody’s Corporate Family

Dealscan Search will review the ratings (At Close or Current) in this order and return results accordingly for each Agency’s Senior Debt.

Deal List Report will now include both S&P and Moody’s Current Sr. Debt Ratings as a field in its output and will use the same hierarchy as listed above to display the applicable rating.

Custom Report will now make S&P Sr. Debt Rating At Close and S&P Sr. Debt Rating Current as available fields to include in the output.

Filters

Dealscan now enables the user to further filter data seen in a report generated from their initial search results. Filters make searching and reporting on data in Dealscan smarter and more efficient by enabling users to perform a broader initial search.

When you Build Your Initial search and click “Run Search”, your results will be displayed in the report format you selected.  Outside of the report results on the left side of the page you will see a Filters Box.  This box is populated with specific categories users can “drill down” into their search results further. Note that if you included any of the Filter categories in your initial Build Your Search for Dealscan, those categories will not be displayed as available Filters to select from.

Users can collapse or expand these categories, much like Build Your Search in Dealscan, by clicking on the “Collapse/Expand All” button.

Users can further customize their Filters by collapsing or expanding specific Filter categories.

Each Filter category will display the five (5) most by count attributes for that category.  Users can see all attributes for that filter category simply by clicking on “Show More” under the last attribute seen for that filter.

Next to each attribute in a Filter is a check box.  Select that check box for the attribute you wish to narrow your search.  This will cause a pop-up window to appear alerting you that your Filters have changed and to click “Refresh report” to update the report results that you are viewing.  Note that you can select multiple filter attributes before clicking “Refresh” by simply scrolling down the page to view all other Filter categories and attributes.

Users can select one or more attributes to select as a Filter.  Users can run multiple “Filters”  on the results of their initial search or previous Filter results.

Users can view their Applied Filters by clicking the “Applied Filters” button at the top of the Filters Box on the left side of the menu.  This will open a pop-up window that will display what Filter Categories were included in what Filter.  Users can remove Filters in this pop-up window. Note that any Filter selected for removal will also remove Filters created after that Filter being removed was created.

Users can Reset all their Filters simply by clicking the “Reset Filters” button.
